Chapter 2

The courage to be me is an illustrated book about courage, self-compassion and hope. The book tells the story of a group of women who are taking their first steps towards rebuilding their lives after rape or sexual abuse. In chapter 2 we meet Steph who wants to know why she didn’t fight her abuser, why she is still affected by the abuse many years later, and why she feels guilty and responsible for what happened.
